How to Make Homemade Facials

Honey Facial

    Stir together 1 teaspoon of honey, 1-1/2 teaspoons of cornmeal, and 1/2 teaspoon of water.  Allow the mixture to thicken for a minute, then gently massage it on Mom's face.  Set a couple of cool cucumbers over her eyes and let her rest for 15 minutes.  Rinse off the mask with warm water.


Oatmeal Facial

   Combine 2 tablespoons of ground oats with 2 to 3 tablespoons of water or milk or one of these:

           For dry skin:  Sour Cream or mashed avocado

           For oily skin:  Yogurt, buttermilk, lemon juice, vinegar, or 1 egg white (beaten)

   Cover skin with mixture.  After 10 minutes, rinse off.
